Being a REALTOR® was far from my original plan. In fact, I thought I would be a teacher forever—and that was fine by me! As a passionate learner, teaching has always come naturally.

After studying English Literature, I took a teaching job at a local elementary school and completed a Master’s in Education after having my second child. Not to brag, but I was a damn good teacher! Educating my students while caring for my young children was a fulfilling life.

However, things changed when I was promoted to an administrative role. “Sure,” I said, thinking that was the logical next step. But as the years went by, I felt increasingly disconnected from what I had always loved about teaching: the people.

While contemplating my future in education, my husband and I decided to sell our home. Being the lifelong student that I am, I got my real estate license so I could sell it myself. When I did, something unexpected happened—I really enjoyed the work! There it was: the connection with people I’d been missing, and the opportunity to keep learning in a field I was falling in love with—real estate.

The transition away from education, though fulfilling, was challenging. Being a teacher had been my identity, but I stayed open to change—and I’m glad I did. I used my background in education to empower my clients. My goal was to make sure they had all the information they needed to make informed decisions. That, to me, is true empowerment.

I’ve lived in Long Beach most of my life, and I love this city! I’ve always enjoyed sharing that love with my clients—showing them neighborhoods and keeping them informed about what’s going on. To do so, I regularly attended the State of the City to hear the mayor’s vision for Long Beach (and I still do to this day).

Unexpectedly, life as a REALTOR® turned out to be everything I could have hoped for, and I’m grateful I took the chance to change careers. Nowadays, when I have free time, I love spending it with my family, visiting my grandchildren, and catching up with them on the phone. Cooking has been a lifelong passion, as well as gardening. I’m proud to serve as President of Long Beach Organic Inc., a nonprofit that transforms abandoned lots into vibrant community gardens. While Long Beach is home, I proudly work with clients throughout all of Los Angeles and Orange County—helping buyers and sellers across the region achieve their goals.

Last but not least, I adore reading—I read about 70 books a year! Memoirs, historical novels, and general fiction are some of

my favorite genres. Fiction fosters empathy—it helps us understand the humanity of those who’ve walked different paths. Books offer an accessible way for us all to be lifelong learners, and that’s what I’m all about: keeping our childlike curiosity alive and always expanding our understanding of life. That love of learning is what got me into real estate in the first place.

I’ve been a REALTOR® for over 30 years and have had the privilege of mentoring many agents along the way. In addition to the experience and knowledge I’ve accumulated over the decades, I strive to overdeliver in every way. First, I care deeply about my clients feeling heard and valued. When I listen, I’m 100% present—taking notes and paying close attention to their wants and needs.

I understand that buying a home can be a daunting process, which is why I prepare my clients for every scenario. I take the time to explain all their options and guide them through every step of the journey. And if unexpected complications arise, I handle them with care and expertise.

Over the years, I’ve built a trusted network of vendors who can help with any real estate-related need—from title companies and attorneys to carpet cleaners and dog groomers. I connect my clients with these resources before, during, and after the transaction. Staying in touch after closing is one of my favorite parts of the job. Many clients know they can count on me for continued support—and many have become lifelong friends.

With gratitude,
